What you need

tbsp vegan margarine

cup dark brown sugar

tsp baking soda

tsp baking powder

pinch salt

cup cocoa powder

tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 350° 0 In a small dish, combine the ground flaxseed meal with the water to make a flax egg. Set aside. 2 In a large bowl cream together the softened vegan butter and brown sugar. Beat on high for 2-3 minutes. 3 Add dry ingredients to the bowl followed by the wet ingredients (including the flax egg from step 2). 4 Mix until well combined. If mixture is still crumbly, add optional unsweetened plant milk if needed to create a dough. 5 Once a dough has formed, fold the chocolate chips into the dough. 6 Use a cookie scoop to transfer the mixture to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then roll each scoop between the palm of your hands to smooth out into a ball (optional). 7 Transfer to the oven to bake for 12-14 minutes. 8 Once finished, remove the cookies from the oven and garnish with optional salt flakes.
